FAQ – Cleaning

Everything you need to know.

Who are the cleaning helpers at Job2Student?

They are motivated, reliable students who support households, offices, and practices with cleaning tasks.

What kind of tasks do they perform?

Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, window cleaning, tidying up, changing bed linen, clearing small areas, and final cleaning after a move.

How quickly can I book someone?

Often the same day or the next day – depending on your location and availability.

Can I book the same helper regularly?

Yes! Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly – tailored to your needs.

How far in advance should I book?

Ideally 2 days in advance. For urgent needs, last-minute bookings are also possible.

Do helpers bring cleaning supplies?

Usually cleaning products and equipment are provided by the client.

Are the helpers insured?

Not automatically – since Job2Student only acts as an intermediary. Engagement is at your own risk. For regular employment we recommend registering through the German Minijob Center, which includes accident insurance. Students usually already have health insurance.

Can I rely on their care – and what if damage occurs?

Our students understand the importance of handling your property responsibly and always work carefully and reliably. Positive reviews motivate them to do their best. If, despite all care, damage occurs, liability lies with the client. We recommend agreeing on clear terms before the assignment starts.

Do helpers also come to rural areas?

Yes – if helpers are available nearby or travel arrangements are made.

Can I reschedule an appointment?

Of course – just coordinate directly with the helper, ideally as early as possible.

How do I cancel a booking?

Simply inform the helper in time, preferably 24 hours in advance. Please note: once a placement has been successfully made, the placement fee remains payable even if you cancel.

Is this service also suitable for businesses?

Yes! Many small companies, co-working spaces, and shops use Job2Student to find flexible cleaning help.

Can I book both regular and one-time jobs?

Absolutely. Some clients hire students for weekly cleanings, others for one-time support – for example after a move, an event, or a renovation.
